Role & Responsibilities

Project sponsors have decision making authority and are responsible for the following:

  1. Providing high profile support, campus commitment and visibility for the project.
  2. Resolving resource and expectations issues.
  3. Assuring resources and funding.
  4. Monitoring project scope.
  5. Overseeing the Electronic Timekeeping project budget and cost.
  6. Determining Electronic Timekeeping Steering Committee membership.
  7. Determining Advisory Committee membership.

Steering Committee

Role & Responsibilities

The Steering Committee has decision making authority and is responsible for the following:

  1. Providing local project oversight, operational decision-making and direction to the Project Manager throughout the project.
  2. Setting direction.
  3. Validating scope and approving scope changes.
  4. Resolving issues.
  5. Sponsoring campus-wide communications.
  6. Informing and approving timing and sequencing of project phases.
  7. Validating requirements and finalizing priorities.
  8. Approving Communications and Training Strategy.
  9. Approving Post Implementation Support Strategy.
  10. Providing guidance on how changes resulting from the project will be implemented in their organization.
  11. Identifying and advising on any emergent issues or risks to the project.

Electronic Timekeeping Advisory Committee

The Electronic Timekeeping Advisory Committee (ETAC) is responsible for advising Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) throughout the electronic timekeeping implementation process; developing and standardizing business processes for timekeeping; providing feedback on proposed deployment planning; and assisting with coordinating training, communication, and organizational readiness.
