It's the UC Santa Barbara IT team's goal to support the university's academic and research mission through robust, reliable, innovative, and transparent technology and support.

Thanks to the combined efforts of Enterprise Technology Services’ (ETS’s) Application and Technology Services and Infrastructure groups, as well as Student Information Systems & Technology (SIS&T), we've taken the transparency initiative one step further with the launch of our new, Cloud-based UCSB Systems Health Dashboard. Located at status.ucsb.edu, the dashboard displays which of our enterprise services are operational, including:

  • Campus Business Applications, e.g. BARC and UCPath
  • Messaging, Collaboration, and Communications Services, e.g., email and other G Suite applications
  • Campus Technical Services, e.g., ServiceNow (IT Service Catalog) and the Campus Network
  • Campus Identity and Authentication Services, e.g., Identity and Single Sign-On (SSO)

In addition to the UCSB Systems Health Dashboard, users can subscribe to updates via email, text, Atom Feed, or RSS Feed.

Other campus IT entities also track their systems health status. To view the health and status of SIS&T applications, including eGrades, visit status.sa.ucsb.edu. To see the Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) application monitor, visit status.ets.ucsb.edu (it can also be accessed from the status.ucsb.edu page).

If one your applications isn't working and the Systems Health Dashboard displays that it's operational, you can contact the ETS Service Desk at extension 5000 or you can submit a ticket or chat to the IT ServiceNow Catalog at ucsb.service-now.com/it.
