RE: Your New and Improved UCSB Alert Account

Dear Faculty and Staff,

The UCSB Alert system allows the campus to communicate timely information to you in the event of incidents or emergencies to ensure you’re informed. Last night, the UCSB Alert system underwent an enhancement that increases the reliability of the system and allows you to add even more ways to receive notifications.

Please log into the UCSB Alert system at alert.ucsb.edu using your UCSBNetID and password to ensure that your contact information is up-to-date. Once logged in, click the “Edit” link in the “My Profile” section to access your contact information.

As a current faculty or staff member, your existing UCSB Alert account transferred to the new system along with any phone numbers or email addresses associated with your account. If you did not have a UCSB Alert account, the UCSB Alert system created a new account for you linked to your primary UCSB email account.

Here are some things that are new:

  • UCSB Alert created accounts for all Faculty and Staff
  • Use your UCSBNetID and password to access the UCSB Alert system at alert.ucsb.edu.
  • Add up to:
    • three phone numbers to receive SMS text message notifications.
    • six more phone numbers to receive voice message notifications.
    • four email addresses to receive email notifications.

For questions about the UCSB Alert system or for support, please contact alert@ucsb.edu.

Sincerely,

Matthew Hall
