RE: Zoom Training Announcement

Zoom video conferencing services are now available to all UCSB students, faculty, and staff. Zoom is a cloud-based platform for video and audio conferencing, mobile collaboration, and simple online meetings. Zoom's web-based conferencing uses high-quality video and audio and is accessible on MacOS and Windows as well as iOS and Android mobile devices.

To learn more about the basics of using Zoom, consider attending one of the following three training sessions via the zoom application (ucsb.zoom.us):

  • Tuesday, August 30, 2-3 p.m.
  • Wednesday, September 7, 9-10 a.m.
  • Monday, September 12, 2-3 p.m.

To register for a training session, fill out this registration form and select the session that is most convenient for you.

Be prepared by downloading Zoom before your training session begins. Visit ucsb.zoom.us/download and select the "Zoom Client for Meeting" browser plug-in. Attendees using mobile devices will need to download the Zoom mobile app. Contact the ETS Service Desk at (805) 893-5000 or etsc.ucsb.edu for assistance.

Recordings of these sessions will be available on the UCSB Zoom website (ucsb.zoom.us) for anyone who is not able to attend. To further help users, Zoom’s support page offers excellent “how to” videos and documentation, as well as scheduled live trainings that they conduct.
