RE: New IT Website Now Live at it.ucsb.edu

Dear UCSB Colleagues,

I am thrilled to announce that we have a new UCSB IT website! it.ucsb.edu is now live!

We hope that you find it useful, helpful, and easy to navigate. It also starts a journey that helps our community members better navigate the complex landscape of IT at UC Santa Barbara.

We intend to communicate regularly via the News and Events page, as well as our newly rebranded social media accounts. These social media accounts will provide UCSB IT news and ongoing updates during service disruptions to our campus services.

LinkedIn: UCSB Information Technology
Twitter: @UCSB IT
Facebook: UCSB Information Technology
Status: status.ucsb.edu

The website features a new navigation system with a context-based organization model that allows you to select your role at USCB, then provides a filtered list of services relevant to that role. It is fully mobile-responsive, making it easy to navigate on a wide range of web browsers and portable devices.

The it.ucsb.edu website launch also means some legacy sites shut down and/or transferred as we launched the new site. Please see the previous communication about which sites shut down/transferred.

While we’re very proud of the work we’ve done here, we know the website as-is is not perfect. We welcome suggestions, comments, or ideas for how to make this website represent IT at a top-tier university. Contact Communications Analyst Kaitlin Breitag at kbreitag@ucsb.edu with your feedback. It’s the start of a continuous improvement journey to better connect our community to the services they need for research, teaching, learning, and administrative success.

Please take a moment to explore the new website and stay tuned for more events, updates, and initiatives from UCSB IT!

Thank you!
